An anonymous reader writes "Another undersea cable was cut latter on Friday. In related news the two cables by Egypt were not cut by ship anchors. Probably not that big of a deal but we're talking about four cables now all to the same area and according to Egypt at least two were cut without any ships in the area."

  • It seems to me that there is something bigger going on here. Is it coincidence that all of these lines are down at the same time. If I were to guess, I would say someone is intentionally trying to stifle the flow of information int he middle east.

    I would not dare to speculate on who or why, as there are way too many good candidates, including the US.
