Because of Limelight Networks, a Tempe, Arizona-based company which operates a global network of fiber-optic interconnected datacenters which are used to locally cache all of the 3000 hours of Olympics video to your ISP." Apart from the fact that viewing videos require a MS box (not even virtualbox can handle it quickly enough), I'm quite pleased with NBC's online Olympics coverage. It's amazingly thorough, sortable, and user-friendly.
Of course, I'd love to see an opensource-friendly solution next time, it'll never happen as long as MSNBC exists.
But despite having to boot into my wife's MS environment, they offered it all for free, allowing me to see events other than the 'cool' stuff (wrestling, judo, etc).
