Google to Hold Worldwide Developer Day 60
Incon writes "Google is holding a day for developers to meet and learn from Google staff at its various worldwide offices. Places at the event are sure to go quicker than hotcakes, so get in quickly. Locations that Developer Day will be held at are: Beijing, Hamburg, London, Madrid, Moscow, Paris, Sao Paulo, Sydney, Tokyo and of course at Google HQ in Mountain View."

Computer developers probably have a good reading knowledge of computer-related English, but that doesn't mean they'd be able to understand a conference given in real-time.

Amen. I was about to reply to him with the same thing but I scrolled down and saw your joyous statement. I can't imagine that guy would learn much from a Google developer conference anyways.

If a Google employee in NYC is working on something the tech world needs to see, they can fly him to Mountain View where he'll get more exposure, and can meet with his other Google colleagues. They'll get a lot more drop-in visitors in Mountain View than they will in NYC -- at least of the type they're looking for.

But it turns out to be educational stuff that's supposed to be good for me. I'm sure Google means well, but I already know enough to be dangerous. People should put more effort into appeasing me and less into pouring oil on that particular fire.

Obviously Google consider an ability to count to be a prerequisite for holding a developers' day in your area. Do your homework, and you might have better luck next time.

We may get them in many places, but at least some of them have nothing to do with development.
For example let's take London - there is a nice round zero worth of development there. If you want to work as a developer for Google you have to agree to relocating to Dublin (or in more rare cases Mountain View) as a preliminary condition before any further conversations have happened.
So Google is not hating anyone. It is just doing Google recruitment. Featured on el-Reg and many other internet news sites.

Joking aside: Please notice that "Yourup" (thanks a lot Mr Bush!) is not a single country. It is lots of different countries, with separate identities and (mostly) with their own languages.
A european country in europe does NOT compare to a state in the US - such a comparison shows ignorance and is borderline offensive.
