Google 'Thanos' For an Epic 'Avengers: Endgame' Easter Egg

Zorro shares a report from CBS News: If you're looking for more "Avengers: Endgame" content to fill the void until you get to see the movie, Google has the perfect Easter egg for you. Open Google, search "Thanos," click the Infinity Gauntlet on the right side -- and watch as half of your search results turn to dust. The gauntlet -- complete with the six Infinity Stones -- will snap its fingers when clicked, just as Thanos did in "Avengers: Infinity War." But this time, instead of eliminating half of the universe's population, Thanos will eliminate half your Google Search results, perfectly balancing the internet. Make sure you turn the sound on.

GP didn't dis superheroes in general, he complained about today's movies about them. It's the storytelling that's problematic, not the superheroes in those stories. We have had superheroes since the dawn of time. What we didn't have is the endless rehashing of the same characters. They didn't do an origin story on Grendel. They didn't reboot the Iliad. There was no "Justice league" or whatever with Jesus, Penthesilea, Wodan and Chang'e fighting a supervillain. People might have wondered who would win

But what they should have done is offer a 1/2 off sale on the older movies in the series in anticipation.

Of course, this causes the same logical problems as the snap itself- the more you deplete the inventory, the faster it stacks up in response - artificial "demand" at those levels would end up creating a faster glut of inventory, than if you never did so in the first place.

It could with one revision: Every time the population doubles Thanos needs to come out of retirement, snap his fingers again, and yell at the universe in general to start using birth control.

Seriously... it's a mediocre movie at best. Even within the series.

A drawn-out mishmash of scenes from several scripts, with no clear theme which ends with a "memba this" parade of characters in a messy and overcrowded brawling sequence.
Which just leaves you reminiscing about the clarity of a similar sequence in The Avengers, 7 years ago.
Plus there they showed actual team work instead of blind hammering at everything around them without rhyme or reason.

It's a 3/10 movie at best.
Which could have been made into a 6/10 IF it had been about an hour and a half shorter, mostly by cutting utterly pointless fan service and pathetic attempts at humor.
Also that entire pointless intro. And the second one.
And everything with Thor's newest erectile dysfunction.
How many times now has THAT been the topic of these movies? We get it - Thor fears he won't be able to get it up.

Plus a simple line or two of explanation of its time travel concept (say... stones were remains from the time before the creation of the universe and therefore time and space work "differently" with them within our universe - that took me entire 20 seconds to come up with) - instead of ranting at the audience how what they are about to see is stupid and makes no sense.

It's basically a bad Doctor Who season finale. On steroids and with a bloated budget.
Which does the wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff wrong.

Avengers is bringing the story lines that existed mainly in comic books to the big screen, for a larger population. That means all the advantages and disadvantages of the plots in comic books.

And that's what he was ranting against. Quite rightly so, I might add. A lot of these movies could actually be halfway decent if they'd get a halfway decent script writer to do justice to the material. But (this is what I am afraid of most) then those movies might not be as popular...
