Google Announces New Subsea Cable 'Equiano', Connecting Africa and Europe (reuters.com) 30
Alphabet's Google on Friday announced a new subsea cable dubbed "Equiano" that will connect Africa with Europe, as it boosts its cloud computing infrastructure. From a report: Equiano, fully funded by Google, is the company's third private international cable. The search engine giant, which has invested $47 billion in improving its global technology infrastructure over the last three years, said Equiano is the company's 14th subsea cable investment globally. "Equiano will be the first subsea cable to incorporate optical switching at the fiber-pair level, rather than the traditional approach of wavelength-level switching," Google said in a blog post.

Here is a better idea. Make the cable one-way, because nothing good comes out of Africa.
But I've had some very tempting offers of financial partnerships from widows of Nigerian ministers. Also, African porn can be very hot, you would not believe some of the shit they do.
And make the cable a direct connection to European porn sites.
No, that will just encourage them to try to get here. Send them Indian porn, then watch as they foul up each other's genes.

it's mostly European nations that messed up countries across Africa. .... Pretty active in slave trade from West Africa
The slave trade messed up America more than it did Africa.
So 15km then? (Score:1)
Because that is the distance between Gibraltar in the south of Spain, and Africa.
