Facebook Groups Are Being Revamped To Look Like Discord (theverge.com) 14
Facebook Groups are about to get some big changes, and if you've used Discord, the new approach should seem pretty darn familiar. From a report: Meta is testing a new left-aligned sidebar and channels list for Groups, and the changes are giving me some serious Discord vibes. Meta is even evoking Discord with a purple accent color. Central to the changes is a new sidebar that lists your groups with rounded square icons. Like with Discord and Slack, you'll be able to pin groups so that they show up first on the list. Individual groups will have a new menu that seems lifted right from Discord. The menu organizes things like channels, Messenger conversations, and events one after another.

All fine and good, because Facebook will probably still keep its algorithm, that will target old folks to get angry about what ever event happens on the news, and make them think it is the next apocalypse.
Getting an Electric car will be an issue when the apocalypse hits and there is no more electricity. (Never mind if that occurs, getting gasoline will be more difficult, as there are many ways to get electricity, while gasoline has a very particular method of production, that you cannot do yourself)

Facebook generally has some of the ugliest and most confusing UI on the planet, so I look forward to whatever changes they are rolling out.
Have to admit I spend a lot more time in Discord than Facebook Groups, so maybe this will improve things.

Facebook hasn't invented a thing. Ever. So this is just par for the course!
And Discord has some stupid UI choices, but it's still better than Facebook.

I was of the opinion that Facebook is one of the biggest waste of time ever invented.
Then I had to join a Discord.
This evolution, but not progress.
