FTC Sues Uber Over Deceptive Subscription Billing Practices (ftc.gov) 23
The Federal Trade Commission filed suit against Uber on Monday, alleging the transportation giant violated federal consumer protection laws through deceptive billing and cancellation practices for its Uber One subscription service. According to the complaint, Uber violated both the FTC Act and the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act by misleading consumers about subscription terms, charging users without consent, and implementing deliberately complicated cancellation processes.
"Americans are tired of getting signed up for unwanted subscriptions that seem impossible to cancel," FTC Chair Andrew Ferguson said in announcing the action. The $9.99 monthly service, launched in 2021, offers benefits including fee-free delivery and discounted rides.

Err... there are currently zero democrats and three republicans serving as FTC commissioners. Darth Cheeto (probably unlawfully) fired the two serving democrats last month. If you Read The Fine Article, you will see that "The Commission vote authorizing the staff to file the complaint was 2-0-1 with Commissioner Mark R. Meador recused."
So, regardless of how Darth Cheeto is running the bureaucracy, the statement that "three democrats is the only reason this is happening" appears to be incorrect.

On March 18, 2025, President Trump ordered the dismissal of Democratic Commissioners Alvaro Bedoya and Rebecca Kelly Slaughter.[17][7] Presidents do not have statutory authority to fire FTC commissioners for reasons other than inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance, none of which were cited in Trump's orders; these restrictions were upheld by the Supreme Court in Humphrey's Executor v. United States.[6]
There should be 3 democrats, but the rules don't apply to trump and republicans

You're lying. Your point [slashdot.org] was that the only reason this action was happening was that there were three Democrat appointed FTC commissioners. Which is incorrect, as there are zero. Your follow-up suggests that truth is just as malleable for you as it is for Darth Cheeto, which is no way to try to claim the moral high ground.
There also really isn't a point to your second comment (other than to, you know, lie). I already stated that Darth Cheeto's firing of the commissioners was probably unlawful.

Yes, because Trump supporters are well known to refer to him as "Darth Cheeto," state that truth is malleable to him, and that his actions are probably unlawful. I voted for him zero times, and against him five (two primaries, three general elections).
Your comment above is putting words in my mouth. I never said anything you are claiming. I said your statement that "the only reason this is happening is the three democrat FTC commissioners" was incorrect (because it is) and your followup "my point was..."
