This is a boon for Boise. I haven't been there in almost a decade, I can only image how much it has changed since then. If that place had a respectable airport with direct flights to most of the country, I think it would have surpassed the SLC metro area some time ago. Better laws. The city itself has outgrown SLC proper. But it has no pro major sports teams, a tiny airport, and no real mass transit. A beautiful area over all though. Especially north and northwest of there. Micron has been good for that town.

Problem with the headline: they can't "unveil" something that doesn't exist yet. They could unveil a "plan" to create something, but as the Wisconsin example shows, reality may fall short of the plan.

How much of this $10b comes from what they saved via the CHIPs act? Fuck Micron and their murder of the Crucial brand to intentionally drive up prices. It's obvious they're colluding with Samsung and SK to drive up prices (the previous ram company cartels have been found guilty of this in multiple courts over the past several decades, but barely faced any consequences).

Micron can go fuck themselves. I doubt this will help Boise's economy in any meaningful way either. It's just more of these shit compani
