Submission + - Study shows social gamers spend less time and mone (venturebeat.com)

AmyVernon writes: "Social game players are spending less time and money on traditional console games, according to a survey sponsored by social game firm Kabam and conducted by Information Solutions Group."

Not so surprising, I suppose, given that most "social gamers" are playing Farmville and things that hardly count as gaming. But makes me wonder what the effect may be on the gaming industry as a whole.
