Alexa.com Is 'Retiring' 37
Alexa.com, the internet company that provides web traffic data, global rankings, and other information on over 30 million websites, is being retired on May 1, 2022. The announcement was brief and didn't explain what was behind the decision. The Alexa.com team writes: Twenty-five years ago, we founded Alexa Internet. The company says it's "stopped offering new subscriptions on December 8, 2021," but existing subscriptions will continue to have access until May 1, 2022. The Web Information Service APIs will be retired today (December 8, 2022).

The header on alexa.com says "Alexa: An Amazon.com company" so I would say that the odds are (approximately) 100%.

Before you get too conspiratorial in our tones, you may want to take a look at Alexa's website from all the way back in August 2002 [archive.org]. Notice a familiar name at the bottom of the page?
Yes, Amazon purchased them, but not recently. It happened nearly two decades ago. Amazon had that brand name locked up over a decade before it launched its voice assistant.

Come on. Be honest. There are so many clones. When was the last time you used that particular site for analytics? 7 to 10 years ago maybe? Their domain name is the only reason Amazon purchased them.

No... Alexa's analytics are really outdated and no longer relevant.
I'm sad to see it go, but it's been far from useful for the last 10 years.
