Meta Platforms's Sheryl Sandberg, who became one of the most recognized figures in global business after helping Facebook transform from a startup into a multibillion-dollar advertising powerhouse, is stepping down as chief operating officer. From a report: Sandberg, 52, will remain on the board of Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, according to a post on the social network Wednesday. Javier Olivan, who has led the company's growth efforts for years, will take Sandberg's place as COO when she formally steps down in the fall.

When it comes to either berg, the ethical question is about the total absence of ethics that aren't centered around power and money. Fortunately for Facebook neither of them is hard to replace. There's no shortage of people with no morals eager to take over and establish a new low.

I know I'd be out of there. Basically only millennials are using it, they can't buy up any new companies because of there botched Instagram, whatsapp (ect) mergers and that has pretty much been their business plan: Buy X competitor that might take our market share. And their new business plan is VR, which no one has been able to get working. And they've managed to piss everyone off in the whole world. Having Facebook used to perpetuate genocides can tucker a person out.
It's rough having groups use a platform for genocidin' when you want to focus on getting those all important ad dollars. Can't block your best customers.

I think that the people who create this and other cool social networks for communication are real geniuses. The same goes for dating sites and specifically this site https://datinger.uk/lesbian-dating-sites/ [datinger.uk] , where I often meet people now. It's great that someone came up with the idea that people can meet in this way.
