OpenAI's GPT Store has Left Some Developers in the Lurch (wired.com) 3

OpenAI's GPT Store, launched in January 2024, has failed to deliver on promised revenue-sharing for most small developers. Despite CEO Sam Altman's earlier statements about paying creators, only a select few have been invited to a pilot program, Wired is reporting.

Developers like Josh Brent Villocido, whose Books GPT was featured at launch, remain excluded from monetization opportunities. Many GPT creators report lack of analytics and unclear performance metrics. Some have devised workarounds, placing affiliate links or ads within their GPTs.

  • You're not getting paid. Someone who says they're going to give you money at an unspecified future time is someone whom you should trust less.

  • As Bill Gates infamously said to Homer Simpson during the acquisition of CompuGlobalHyperMegaNet: "I didn't get rich by writing checks."

roflmao. i mean, why would openAI start paying for other peoples' content NOW? rofl. lmao. lol.

  • Anyone who falls for snake-oil-sellers Musk and Altman, fully deserved any shit they get. Elon musk didn't become the richest man by being honest, charitable, fair... A nice 98% tax would fit his duplicity very well

C for yourself.
