Russian Watchdog Blocks Viber Messaging App (reuters.com) 6
An anonymous reader writes: Russia's communications watchdog Roskomnadzor said on Friday it had blocked access to Rakuten-owned Viber messaging app, the latest in a line of social media services to be banned by Russian authorities. In a statement, Roskomnadzor said the block was related to a violation of rules concerning the prevention of terrorism, extremism, and drug dealing.

Russia's crashing demographics, Putin sending the nation's future to get mulched in Ukraine... maybe Ukraine falls and we get Cold War Pt II, but no matter what Russia's not in as good a position as the USSR in 1922. It'll fall faster and harder and I doubt anybody's going to reach out a friendly hand afterwards like we did last time.
China's going to feast on the remains, though. Those natural resources are tasty.
