Mozilla and Apache Saving Bandwith
Marcos Hauer writes
"I've just stumbled over a Real Good Thing (TM) in the
Mozilla site: HTTP Compression.
They tell us that Mozilla can request compressed data from
Apache servers, receive the content gziped and decompress
it on the fly. Ah, and they have the Apache Module Source
too . Way cool! " Several people have asked to have
me incorporate this into Slash. It's a valid idea, and I may
take a stab at it in the not-so-distant-future. I think it
could be done in a few lines of perl anyway.
