WindowMaker Naming Fun

Christopher Barry wrote in to tell us that there is apparently some not-so-fun stuff occuring with the WindowMaker name. I've attached a message that Alfredo posted to the WM mailing list. The gist of that is that WM will probably start being GSWM (The GNUstep WindowMaker) to keep things clear.

I got a reply from the managing director of windowmaker software. The reply was quite friendly and summarizing it, the answer is that they also are worried about this issue, but against Microsoft. He told me he knew of a company that was sued by MS because their name was Windowsmaker and he is also afraid about his company. He advised me to change the name because of MS, not because of them, but he did not specifically say that we would not get legal trouble from theirselves. So, what I want to suggest is to change our name to gswm (GNUstep window manager). I will still use WM for some stuff, though. Now, the problem is things like the domain name. I think we should keep the domain until it expires and when it does, use something else. Or get a new domain and leave windowmaker.org be an alias to the new domain. Or whatever. Id like to leave these decisions from the real owners of the windowmaker.org domain.

Sorry for the trouble.
